Super Bowl Brew – Redleaf Red Irish Ale

Lee and Matt, in the absence of Garth, brewed a dual batch of our first Irish Red Ale.

We brewed on Super Bowl Sunday and in honor of Matt’s nephew Cade, being born the day before. =-)

Lee’s batch was dubbed the ‘little lucky bee’ after a bee decided to drown his sorrows in the bucket of wort.

Matt’s batch is named in honor of his first nephew, Cade, born the day before. Cade’s Redleaf Red.

The two differ slightly with hops and yeast, 5 Gallons each.

Redleaf Brewing Company is located in Austin, Texas. Formed when brewers Lee, Garth, and Matt began brewing small batches of handcrafted home brew style beer.

We strive to create the highest quality beer with a flare for the unusual and unique, yet keeping with the spirit of a small brewery, catering to the tastes of beer lovers abroad.

We are up to several things, one being the building a brew kettle system we call the Titan. This should help speed up production and allow us to increase our batches too 10 gallons at a time.

Our focus for 2008 is the master our favorite four recipes: Trailer Trash Pale Ale, Hee Haa Hefeweizen, A Brown Ale and Hustler Honey Ale, a tribute to the Texas Rollergirls.
